Dollar Tree E.L.F. Haul 11/16/17!!!

Hey everyone,

You guys will not believe what I’ve found at the Dollar Tree?!?! E.l.f. Cosmetics and not just the $1 or $2 items but the ones that retail for $4 on their website. There’s lipstick, lip lacquer, mascara, brushes and so much more.

Here’s what I picked up!!!

Aqua Beauty Molten liquid eyeshadow in Brushed Copper.

This is such a pretty shade. It’s perfect to just throw on for a simple look. This is still on the e.l.f. Website for $4.

Lip Lacquer in Burgundy and Matte Lip color in Rich red.

The lip lacquer is more like a lipgloss than a lacquer. It’s currently on their website for $2

Matte lip color in rich red is a gorgeous classic red lip color. This one is currently on their website for $3.

Lock On Liner and Brow Cream in Medium Brown.

E.l.f. Blush in Coy

The Lock On Liner and Brow Cream is the perfect shade for my brows but this was the only shade that they had in stock. They weren’t lying when they said Lock On, I can’t get the swatch off my arm. This is currently on their website for $4.

E.l.f. blush in coy is a really pretty shimmering shade that would be perfect for every day wear. This one is currently $2 on their website.

If I were to buy all of these on the E.l.f. Website I would have spent $15. I saved $10 thanks to Dollar Tree. I love that store.

I’m hoping to do a future post doing a full face of e.l.f. products. So look for that coming up soon.

Product Rave

One of my first blog posts was a haul from the Dollar Tree. In that haul I purchased a NYC Expert Last Lip Color in blue rose. I thought for only a buck why not try it out. Well, today I actually decided to wear it and see if this lipstick is any good.

This is when I first applied it at around 3:00pm 

 This is what it looks like at 7:30pm after eating dinner.

I was so surprised that this $1 lipstick from the Dollar Tree was still on my lips. I’m so impressed with the staying power of this lipstick that I’m going to run out and grab some more.

Anniversary Date Night

On Thursday, my husband and I will have been married for 3 years. It doesn’t seem very long but we have been through a lot in those 3 years.

Last year on our anniversary, I was in the hospital with preeclampsia, waiting for our daughter to be born. Not a very fun way to spend our wedding anniversary. Our daughter Mattie was born 2 months premature, we were so busy that we never celebrated our anniversary.

So, this year we decided to celebrate it on Sunday, which is my husbands only day off. We had his parents watch Mattie and we went to a really nice steakhouse just north of where we live. Nothing fancy but it was nice just to be together.
I’ve been trying out some new makeup from a recent haul post, so I’m not going to post what I’m wearing because some of these are hits and some are misses.

Here’s my makeup.. Nothing to crazy and wild. For fun I asked my husband how I should do my makeup and he said..Mac..lol. I told him Mac is a brand of makeup not a style.. Men..lol. My husband does like when I wear bright lips, so this was for him.

L’OREAL Infallible Pro-Matte Foundation

Happy Monday!!!  I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend.

I have been seeing so many reviews for the L’OREAL Infallible Pro-Matte Foundation, so of course I had to try it out for myself. 

 Classic Ivory

From the L’OREAL website-

Achieve a matte finish that won’t fall flat with this air-light, longwearing liquid formula. Lightweight and creamy, foundation goes on smooth with a demi-matte finish that lasts up to 24 hours—hiding imperfections for a smooth, clear complexion.

Pros-

• Claims to last 24 hours- I’m not sure if it last that long but it did last for as long as I needed it to last.
• Beautiful matte finish, that left my skin smooth.
• Lightweight formula so I didn’t feel it on my skin.

Cons-

•  I did notice oxidizing on my hand but I didn’t notice it on my face.
• Classic ivory is still a little to dark for my skin tone. I’m very fair skinned. I wish it was a little lighter.

Final Thoughts-

• L’OREAL Infallible Pro-Matte foundation is amazing. I had so many compliments on my complexion, which usually never happens. I’m not going to call this my holy grail just yet but it’s in the running. I do recommend this foundation and I will definitely be repurchasing this in the future.

Cover girl Colorlicious Lip Lava

  
Hey, I hope everyone is having a wonderful Sunday. It’s pretty chilly here but the sun is shining.

In a recent haul I posted, I purchased the Covergirl Colorlicious Lip Lava. When I saw this at Rite Aide I thought it was shiny and pretty. I love anything shiny..lol So, I had to buy it..right?

From the Covergirl website

Bolder than a balm, glassier than a gloss, more lustrous than a lipstick. The hybrid formula of new Colorlicious Lip Lava combines highly pigmented shades with iridescent pearls for saturated lip color with the high shine of lacquer. Now you can get a lip look overflowing with color, shine, shimmer and glimmer with just one product.

Pros-

• It’s lasts a long time on the lips
• The color is gorgeous 
• Very smooth formula, glides on effortlessly 
• Brush applicator makes for easy application 

Cons- 

• A little sticky but I think that’s what makes it stay on your lips for a longer time.
• It’s transferable.. Not the best for kissing, unless the other person wants shimmering lips.
• If you don’t like shimmering, shiny lip this isn’t for you.

Final Thoughts-

I absolutely love this lipgloss. It’s true to its claims. For only $7.99, you really can’t go wrong with this lipgloss. I will definitely be looking for other colors in this line.

Product Rave

I know I posted about the Wet n Wild 1 Step Wonder Gel awhile ago but I really need to do a product rave for this nail polish. 

 Lavender Out Loud 

This is probably the best affordable nail polish that I have ever used. They are $4.99 and right now Walgreen has Wet n Wild on sale buy one get one 50% off. So, on my way home from grocery shopping I stopped and picked up 2 more polishes. I now have 6 of them. Yes, I’m kinda obsessed..lol

• The formula is nice and smooth.
• It drys really fast
• It last about 5 day for me and I’m a stay at home mom, so I’m always cleaning and doing stuff with my hands.
• They have some very pretty colors. Lavender Out Loud and Stay Classy are 2 of my favorites.

It will definitely be purchasing more and if you are looking for a good affordable nail polish, check these out, you won’t be disappointed.

L’Oreal Voluminous Superstar Redcarpet Mascara

A couple weeks ago, I picked up the L’OREAL Voluminous Redcarpet Mascara, I never used a mascara with a primer, so I was excited to try this mascara.

On to the review!!!

Usually I would have a pro and con list but this review doesn’t need one.

I think this was the worst mascara that I have ever used. One of the problems was that it never looked black, it always had a gray tint to it. No matter how much mascara I piled on it never covered the primer completely. I also noticed that the longer I wore the mascara the shorter my lashes got, it’s like they were shrinking. It was weird. The only good thing about this mascara is that it didn’t flake off.

I definitely will not be repurchasing this mascara. Everyone’s different, so what didn’t work for me, might work for someone else.

Small Haul

Yesterday after my doctors appointment, I went to Kroger to pick up my prescription and of course the pharmacy is right by the cosmetic aisle. So, had to check out some of the sales. 

 
Products-

• L’OREAL new extraordinary oil for curly hair shampoo and conditioner. I’ve seen a lot of good reviews on this and thought I would give it a try. I haven’t had a hair cut since I found out I was pregnant and my daughter will be 1 on the 31st, so it’s been a long time and my hair is looking bad. These were on sale for $3.99 each.
• Maybelline Volum’express the falsies flared mascara in blackest black. I’m always on the hunt for a good mascara. This was only $5.99, so I thought I would give it a try.

Face Of The Day

  
I seriously take the worst “selfies”..lol 

A couple days ago I hurt my side while hanging up my husbands shirts. I have fibromyalgia and with the added pain of hurting my side, I was having a hard time picking up my daughter. So my wonderful husband stayed home from work to take care of Mattie and take me to the doctor.

Whenever I don’t feel good, I like to do my makeup because it calms me and makes me feel better, if that makes sense..lol
