New Years Resolutions 2018!!!

Hey everyone,

Happy New Year!!! I hope everyone had an amazing holiday. Our family had a wonderful time. My husband was off work and was able to spend a lot of time with Mattie and me. It was very nice.

So usually my New Years resolution is to lose weight, which I will be changing to living a healthy lifestyle. I have realized that I don’t do good with diets. I always feel like a failure if I don’t lose weight and I hate feeling that way about myself. So no more of that.

I will also be getting into essential oils. I just signed up with Young Living and I’m so excited to get started. I’ve seen how amazing these oils are and can’t wait to start incorporating them into my family’s life.

I also want to be more present. I get distracted so easily. I really need to focus on putting my phone down and spending more time with my family.

That’s what I’m going to be focusing on this year.

What is one for your New Years resolutions?

Thanks for reading my post.

Another Year Down!!

Hey everyone,

2017 has flown by, I feel like it was the shortest year yet. Which I’m sure you all have heard a million times already.

So, I thought I would share some highlights from my 2017-

  • My daughter turned 2
  • My husband and I celebrated our 4th wedding anniversary.
  • I became an aunt again.
  • My husband started a new job.
  • We bought a new car
  • We got a new cat named Beckham

We’ve had so many blessings in 2017. I’m so excited to see what 2018 will bring. Thanks for spending part of 2017 with me.

Merry Christmas!!

I just want to wish you all a very merry Christmas.

Blogmas Day- Fail!!!

Hey everyone,

So, I suck at I had good intentions to write everyday but it’s so hard. I thought about writing about my day but I’m so boring.

Like today-

Woke up sick to my stomach.

Made my daughter oatmeal.

Watched TV

Went to the grocery store

Put my daughter down for her nap

Took a nap myself

Washed dishes

Made cookies

Ate dinner

Laid on the couch and watched tv

Put my daughter to bed

The end!!!

See, so incredibly boring. Lol

I will be resuming my regular blog posts.

Who also had a boring day?

Thanks for reading my post.

Blogmas Day 12- Holiday Stressing!!

Hey everyone,

It’s that special time of year where stress seems to be more present. Why are the holidays so stressful? Most of the time I feel like we create our own stress. Worrying about trivial things, like will my daughter have enough presents, will I make enough food and cookies for everyone on Christmas Eve. We stress out about stuff that isn’t even about Christmas. We forget that Christmas is about the birth of our lord, instead we worry about the elf of the shelf and Santa.

The holidays are about spending time with family and friends. I think once we remember what Christmas is really about, we stop stressing and enjoy this magical time of the year.

Blogmas Day 11- Motivational Monday!!!

Hey everyone,

I’ve decided to take a break from motivational Monday until the new year. That doesn’t mean I’m not going to still try to eat and drink healthy. I’m just not going to stress out about it during the holidays.

The holidays have been very stressful this year, which makes me want to eat. I’m starting in incorporate healthier eating habits. So, when I do eat I grab some veggies and not a bag of chips.

Who knows, maybe by the beginning of the year, I will have Lot 10 pounds because I’m not stressing about losing weight.

Thanks for reading my post.

Blogmas Day 9- Favorite Christmas Movies!!

Hey everyone,

One of my favorite parts of Christmas is getting cozy and watching Christmas movies. There are so many cute Christmas movies.

Here are my top 5-

Philip (Steve Martin) manages a suicide-prevention hotline called Lifesavers, assisted by Mrs. Munchnik (Madeline Kahn) and Catherine (Rita Wilson). On Christmas Eve, Philip learns that their landlord (Garry Shandling) is evicting them from their office. Amid all this unrest, Catherine proclaims her love for Philip. And when a transvestite (Liev Schreiber) and a pregnant woman (Juliette Lewis) enter into the equation, things get even more interesting.

This movie is hilarious!! I have to watch it every Christmas.

Singers Bob Wallace (Bing Crosby) and Phil Davis (Danny Kaye) join sister act Betty (Rosemary Clooney) and Judy Haynes (Vera-Ellen) to perform a Christmas show in rural Vermont. There, they run into Gen. Waverly (Dean Jagger), the boys’ commander in World War II, who, they learn, is having financial difficulties; his quaint country inn is failing. So what’s the foursome to do but plan a yuletide miracle: a fun-filled musical extravaganza that’s sure to put Waverly and his business in the black!

I’ve been watching this movie since I was a kid. I know all the words to all the songs. It’s such a good movie, especially if you like musicals.

When bratty 8-year-old Kevin McCallister (Macaulay Culkin) acts out the night before a family trip to Paris, his mother (Catherine O’Hara) makes him sleep in the attic. After the McCallisters mistakenly leave for the airport without Kevin, he awakens to an empty house and assumes his wish to have no family has come true. But his excitement sours when he realizes that two con men (Joe Pesci, Daniel Stern) plan to rob the McCallister residence, and that he alone must protect the family home.

Home Alone came out when I was a kid, so I could really relate to this movie, I’m not sure that’s a good thing. Some days I wished my parents would disappear lol. This has turned into one of my daughters favorite movies. She’s only 2 and it’s a little weird when we are out eating and she starts yelling, I’m living alone lol

Buddy (Will Ferrell) was accidentally transported to the North Pole as a toddler and raised to adulthood among Santa’s elves. Unable to shake the feeling that he doesn’t fit in, the adult Buddy travels to New York, in full elf uniform, in search of his real father. As it happens, this is Walter Hobbs (James Caan), a cynical businessman. After a DNA test proves this, Walter reluctantly attempts to start a relationship with the childlike Buddy with increasingly chaotic results.

This movie has become a classic in our house. We watch it so many times during Christmas, we practically know all the words.

My all time favorite movie-

As the holidays approach, Clark Griswold (Chevy Chase) wants to have a perfect family Christmas, so he pesters his wife, Ellen (Beverly D’Angelo), and children, as he tries to make sure everything is in line, including the tree and house decorations. However, things go awry quickly. His hick cousin, Eddie (Randy Quaid), and his family show up unplanned and start living in their camper on the Griswold property. Even worse, Clark’s employers renege on the holiday bonus he needs.

Who doesn’t love this movie??? I’ve watched it so much already that my husband is getting sick of
