How I Wear Blue Eyeshadow

Hey everyone,

So, wearing blue eyeshadow can be a little tricky. You don’t want to look like you just rolled out of the 70’s and 80’s and you also don’t want to look like Mimi from the Drew Carey Show. I feel like there is a thin blue line that you don’t want to cross..lol

One of my favorite ways to wear blue eyeshadow is placing it along your lower lash line. It gives you a really pretty blue pop.

Here I am rocking a touch of blue on my lower lash line.

Another way I like to wear blue eyeshadow is by placing it on the inner 2/3 of my lid.

Here I’m wearing the Wet n Wild eyeshadow palette in Not a Basic Peach. The combination of the peach and blue look beautiful together. This gives you a really nice blue look without covering your whole lid and making it look dated.

Those are the two ways that I have found work the best for me.

What is your favorite way to wear blue eyeshadow?

Wet n Wild Eye Look!!!

Hey everyone,

I hope everyone had a great Valentine’s Day. My husband brought dinner home, which was amazing. Love him more everyday.

So, I did this look awhile ago when I first purchased the Wet n Wild in Not A Basic Peach palette and forgot to share.

This palette is so pigmented and blends wonderfully. The colors are great for blue eyes. Wet n Wild’s eyeshadow palettes are amazing.

I love how they threw in the blue shade. It’s great for adding a pop of color to your lower lash line.

I mostly used the two peach shades. Which I’m sure you can tell..lol. I then used the darkest shade in my outer corner and the blue shade on my lower lash line. I also placed the dark pink shimmer shade on my inner half of my lib but you couldn’t really tell I had any shimmer on my lid.

I added some black liner to my waterline and some mascara. Very easy!!!

Maybelline Super Stay Matte Ink in the color Ruler on my lips.

Hopefully I will be posting more makeup looks and reviews. Thanks for reading my post.

Wet N Wild Eyeshadow Palette Look and Review!!

Hey everyone,

How’s everyone today? Here in Michigan it’s snowing like crazy. I’m sick of winter..lol

If you read my last post then you know that I just bought the New Wet n Wild Color Icon Eyeshadow Palettes. I’ve been playing with them a lot and I love them. I think Wet N Wild in general is an amazing company. They make wonderful products and keep them affordable.

So, I will start with the look I did using mostly Wet n Wild products.

I started out by priming my face with Wet n Wild Coverall face primer

Next I used the Wet n Wild Photofocus foundation

Next I used the Megaglo Concealer stick and blush stick.

After that I used the Halo liquid highlighter on my cheekbones.

I set everything with the Wet n Wild Photofocus pressed powder.

My eyebrows were next. I used Makeup Revolution eyebrow palette.

I primed my eyelids with the Wet n Wild eye primer.

I used the new Wet n Wild Rośe All Day eyeshadow palette.

I used the dusty rose shade in my crease and the dark rose shade on my lids. Then I put the dark burnt orange shade on my lower lash line. I used the lightest shade as my brow bone highlight.

I sprayed my face with the NYX Dewy Finish Setting Spray

I used the Maybelline Total Temptation Mascara and then finished off the look with Maybelline Super Stay Matte Ink in the shade Lover

I really like the new Wet n Wild Color Icon Eyeshadow Palettes. The formula is wonderful. They are very pigmented and blend wonderfully. I love the color selections, you don’t normally see those types of shades in drugstore eyeshadows. I definitely recommend trying these palettes out for yourself. They are only $4.99!!!!

Thanks for ready my post.

Small Drugstore Makeup Haul-1/26/18

Hey everyone,

I’m back!! I feel like I haven’t wrote in forever. Well, that’s going to change. 2018 is the year of Amanda!!!

To start off the year of Amanda, I decided to pick up some makeup while I was grocery shopping. I also had a coupon..lol

Let’s get started-

I wrote in my last post, how much I have these Maybelline Super Stay Matte Ink. So of course I had to pick up another one. This is in the shade Ruler.. because I rule lol

I have been searching for these eyeshadow palettes from Wet n Wild since they came out. I found them at Kroger.. so weird lol

I have heard these are really good. I can’t wait to put these to the test myself. The colors are gorgeous and are perfect for me. The palettes I bought are, not a perfect peach and rośe in the air.

That’s it..lol. I told you it was a small haul.

Have you tried the Wet n Wild palettes? What are your thoughts?

Thank you for reading my post.

Blogmas Day 13- Easy Makeup!!!

Hey everyone,

So today, I had a doctors appointment. The one thing I hate doing when I feel like crap, is looking anywhere near acceptable to walk outside my door. I want to stay in my yoga pants and giant t-shirt with my hair all messy. But no, I had to go to the doctors office. So, I did the absolute least.

The absolute least-

I wanted to post a before picture but forgot to take it until I was almost done with my concealer..lol

Step 1- I applied the Wet n Wild Conceal Makeup Stick under my eyes, around my nose and on my chin. Then I blend it out. The formula of this is very creamy and feels more like a foundation stick than concealer.

Step 2- I used the Wet n Wild Blush in Floral Majority on my cheeks and blended it out.

Step 3- Wet n Wild Highlight stick in When The Nude Strikes. I applied this on the high points of my face.

Can you see a trend with the Wet n wild makeup sticks?? Lol

Step 4- Next I applied Maybelline Fit Me Powder all over my face to set all the cream products.

Step 5- I applied Younique Splurge Cream Shadow in Unapologetic on my lids and blended it out.

Step 6- Makeup Revolution Focus & Fix on my brows.

Step 7- L’Oreal Voluminous Lash Paradise on my lashes.

Step 8- Wet n Wild lipstick in Will you be with me.. weird name lol. I love this lipstick, it’s only 99 cents and they are really creamy and feel amazing on my lips.

There you have my easy peasy makeup of the day.

Wet n Wild Photofocus Pressed Powder- Review

Hey everyone,

Well, by now you all know my obsession with Wet n Wild. I can’t help it, it’s great quality and very affordable.

Today I’m going to review the Wet n a Wild Photofocus Pressed Powder.

Here is the description from the Wet n Wild website-

Your smartphone just met its makeup match. Pack this genius pressed powder in your bag for endlessly amazing photos every time. Light-diffusing pigments give your skin a veil of silky natural looking perfection in photos and IRL. Wear it alone, on bare skin or over Photo Focus foundation for a flawless finish.
Sets makeup with an unbelievably soft, satin finish

Reduces shine throughout the day

Each shade covers a range of skin tones

I have the shade warm light. When I first looked at it, I thought it was going to be to dark since I’m very fair.

It turned out to be the perfect shade, it brightens up my skin without it looking to crazy. It does come in 8 shades and each shade works for a couple different skin tones.

With my Younique business I take a lot of selfies and I haven’t had any problems with this powder. It makes my skin look flawless in photos.

This powder is so soft and silky. This has been my favorite powder that I have used in a long time. Especially since I have aging skin and it doesn’t settle into my fine lines.

I highly recommend trying out this pressed powder, it’s only $4.99 but worth so much more.

What is your favorite pressed powder?

Thank you so much for reading my post.

Review- Wet n Wild Mega Cushion Contour

Hey everyone,

I love Wet n Wild. They are great quality and very affordable. Recently they came out with a bunch of new products. I purchased some of the new products to test out and review.

One of the products that I was excited to try was the Mega Cushion Contour. This product is so different then the other contouring products on the market. While most contouring products are either a cream or powder, this contour is liquid.

Since this is a liquid contour you have to be fast when applying it because it sets fast and makes it difficult to blend.

As you can see in the second picture, I waited to long to blend it out and it turned out blotchy. If you blend it out right away it gives you one of the most natural contours I have ever seen.

I have only seen one shade of the contour but it’s buildable. I have very fair skin and it looks very natural on me. I use a brush with the contour. I’m not a big fan of the applicator that come with the contour.

I found the Mega Cushion Contour at Walgreens for $5.99. The price and quality makes this an amazing product.

I highly recommend trying this product out for yourself and letting me know what you think.

Thank you for taking the time to read my post.

Wet n Wild Limited Edition Coloricon Eyeshadow Trio review

Hey everyone!!!

I know what you’re thinking, not another Wet n Wild review and believe me, I’m getting sick of these but this is my last one from my huge Wet n Wild haul….yay!!!  I promise I won’t have another Wet n Wild review for awhile, promise.

So today we are reviewing these bad boys and when I say bad, I mean bad..lol. No, these are not that bad…lol

The New Romantics
No false

Flash

Review- This is the New Romantics trio, it’s my least favorite of the two. As you can see it’s very pretty but very shimmery. It’s really hard to use the whole palette at one time, unless you like the 70’s disco look. So, you may want to incorporate a matte shadow.

The eyeshadows themselves are very soft and powdery but this palette for some reason was very hard to work with, which is weird because the other palette is very different. Another thing, is that there is tons of fall out and you should wait until after doing your eyes to apply foundation.

One last thing, I think if you use your finger to apply this shadow it would apply so much better than with a brush.

I would probably pass on this trio but I can’t because I already bought it..lol

To In-Di-O I Go Go
No Flash

Flash

Review- When Wet n Wild created this trio, they were smart and added a matte shade. I actually really like this palette, the three shades go very well together and you can get a complete look with these three shades.

The consistency of this palette feels different from the first palette. It feels more creamy than soft and is very easy to work with, unlike the last palette. You still get fallout and need to do your foundation last.

I think this palette is really nice. I think with Wet n Wild eyeshadow palettes, sometimes it’s hit or miss.

Final Thoughts- I think these are ok trios but would I tell you these are must haves and you have to run right out and find these… No!!! For only $2.99 these are a great deal but if you buy one, buy the To In-Di-O I Go Go.

There you go, that’s the last Wet n Wild review for awhile. I love afford makeup and Wet n Wild is one of my favorite brands. If you haven’t checked out Wet n Wild for awhile, I recommend checking it out and letting me know what you think.

Thanks for taking the time to read me post.

Wet n Wild Megaglo Highlighting Powder Review

Hey everyone!!!

Following my trend of Wet n Wild reviews, today I’m going to review the Megaglo Highlighting Powder. I had both of them and gave the darker shade to my friend without reviewing it first, so today’s review will only be on the Precious Petals shade.

Here are the swatches-

My Thoughts- These are amazing. These are very pigmented, long lasting and perfect for everything skin tone.

The light shade is perfect for my fair skin, it’s not to harsh and blends beautifully.

They are only $3.99 but they are sold out on the Wet n Wild website. You may still be able to find these in stores.

One reason I love Wet n Wild is because they are cruelty free. I love when I see that happy little bunny on its packaging.

I highly recommend these, so if you can find them, grab it… Don’t just grab, you probably should pay for it..lol
