Hey everyone, I’m going to give you just a short review of the Neutrogena MoistureSmooth Color Stick in pink grapefruit that I received in my Walmart Beauty Box.

I have been using this product everyday since Saturday when I received the beauty box. It’s smooth and creamy with just a hint of color. It has a fruity smell that I love. My lips do feel smoother but only when I have it on my lips. I can use Chapstick and get the same affect. 

There’s nothing special about this product and I don’t really see spending $7 on a product that I can get the same results with the Jordana Twist and Shine moisturizing balm stain for $3.99. I won’t be purchasing this in full size.

I have been using this night cream for almost one week. I absolutely love this night cream.

Here is a before and after-I’m not sure why I’m making a weird face in the before pic..lol

 

I can tell a big difference since I have been using the night cream. My skin feels so soft and looks so much brighter. I don’t think I’ve used it long enough to tell a difference in my wrinkles. 

I’m 36 years old and need to start working on my skin care. When I’m 80, I want to at least look 60. I might need a magic potion for that one…lol. 

I love this night cream and I will be buying a full size along with the whole Absolutely Ageless line.

Maybelline The Falsies Mascara

Hey everyone!! I hope everyone is enjoying their night or morning. It’s a little after 9pm here and I’m ready to go to bed. It’s been a long day.

I’m going to review Maybelline The Falsies Mascara. I know there are a couple different versions and the one I have is the flared.

  
I really have no cons for this mascara. I have used this for a couple weeks and I absolutely love it. My ordinary go to mascara is the L’OREAL Voluminous Carbon Black. I actually think the falsies is a better mascara and I’m kicking myself for not trying it sooner.

Reasons why I like it-

• It coats my lashes perfectly
• Doesn’t clump
• Last all day without flaking
• Give my tiny lashes volume

Reason why I don’t like it-

• The name is really misleading. My eyelashes do not look like falsies. No where near it.

I really do love this mascara and it’s in the running for holy grail status. I will definitely be repurchasing and I recommend this to everyone but just remember what works for me may not work for you.

Starting this week I will be trying out a new mascara, so keep an eye out for that review. I’m always on the hunt for the next best thing.

March Favorites

Hey everybody, I hope everyone is having a great Tuesday. I can’t believe March is almost over. Thursday is my daughters first birthday. I can’t believe it’s been a year already. On Thursday I will write a post all about my beautiful daughter Mattie.

This is my first favorites post. I’m so excited because I have a lot of favorites this month. I’m always happy when I find products that work for me. 

  Everyone knows how much I love these, I wrote about them twice already. If you haven’t tried them, you should. They are so good.
  The Butter Bronzer from Physicians Formula is so amazing. I’ve never felt a bronzer so smooth and creamy feeling. Plus, it smells amazing.
  This foundation goes on so smooth that it feels like you’re not wearing foundation at all. I love how it lasts all day long. 

   
   Lip products are my absolute favorite. I’ve been trying not to buy so many. These are some that I purchased this month that I absolutely love. The E.l.f. Matte lip colors are so good and very affordable. I also love the Covergirl Lip Lava when I want my lips to sparkle and shine.
  Wet n Wild has come out with some amazing new products. The contouring palette is beautiful. I highly recommend this product.

 Wet n wild color icon blushes are so pigmented and blend so beautifully. Seriously, for the price you will not be disappointed. 
theBalm Mary-Lou Manizer is simply gorgeous for giving my skin a beautiful glow. I love it!! 

 The Too Faced Chocolate Bon Bon palette is my number one favorite product of the month. I would be lost without it. The colors are amazing. I can go from a simple look to a glam look with just this palette.

Wet n Wild Mattifying Powder

Happy Saturday or as my husband has been saying Happy Pre-Easter. I hope everyone has a great day. We will be coloring eggs and trying to find stuff for our daughters Easter basket. If anyone has any ideas on what to do for a baby who is almost 1, please let me know. Lol

In my last haul, I purchased the Wet n Wild Mattifying Powder in Matte about you.

  
I purchased this at Walgreens when they were having a buy one get one 50% off sale. I was looking on the Wet n Wild website for a description but I couldn’t find this on their site. So I found a description on the Walgreen website.

From the Walgreen website-

Take on the day. Feel shiny within, not without! Revolutionary light-reflecting powder contains porous silica beads, which absorb oil and minimize shine. Lightweight powder feels weightless on the skin without adding color, and sets with a luminous, soft-focus finish.

Cruelty free.

Made in China

Use alone or over makeup to set and seal foundation. Brush powder lightly and evenly over face and neck. May be used throughout the day for touch-ups and to rid shine.

This is just a basic mattifying powder. It does a wonderful job of keeping my face matte all day. I’m not sure why they would describe this as setting with a luminous, soft-focus finish when it’s suppose to be a mattifying powder. 

Final thoughts- This is so basic that there really is nothing special about it. It does get the job done and I will continue to use it until it’s gone but I probably won’t be repurchasing. I do recommend this to anyone looking for a basic mattifying powder.

Rimmel Lasting Finish Foundation

Happy Good Friday!!! I can’t believe how fast this year is going by, next week my daughter is going to be one years old. Yes, I’m crying a little bit. 

Sooo, in my last haul I purchased the Rimmel Lasting Finish 25 hour Foundation. I have been hearing good stuff about this foundation for a long time and I decided that it’s about time I try it for myself. 

 Here’s what the Rimmel website says,

Instant perfect coverage that feels extra comfortable and lasts all day

– Blends flawlessly, seamlessly, instantly and easily into the skin

– Sweat, heat, humidity and transfer proof for up to 25 hours

Pros-

• The shade light ivory matches my skin tone perfect 
• Very smooth and easy to blend
• Stays put all day, even when I was sweating.
• Comfortable on my skin. I didn’t feel like I had a ton of foundation on.

Cons-

• The foundation sets fast, so you have to blend it out fast
• I love the glass bottle but I hate that it doesn’t have a pump.

Final thoughts- I have really been enjoying this foundation. I love that it stays put all day, even when I’m sweating. This is probably one of the best foundations I’ve used in a long time and the only thing that would make it better, would be a pump. I recommend this foundation and I will definitely be repurchasing.

Product Rave

One of my first blog posts was a haul from the Dollar Tree. In that haul I purchased a NYC Expert Last Lip Color in blue rose. I thought for only a buck why not try it out. Well, today I actually decided to wear it and see if this lipstick is any good.

This is when I first applied it at around 3:00pm 

 This is what it looks like at 7:30pm after eating dinner.

I was so surprised that this $1 lipstick from the Dollar Tree was still on my lips. I’m so impressed with the staying power of this lipstick that I’m going to run out and grab some more.

Wet n Wild ColorIcon Blush

Happy Tuesday everyone!! I wanted to post this morning but the day got away from me. I hate when that happens.

Today I’m going to review the Wet n Wild ColorIcon in Rose Champagne. One thing I don’t own a lot of are blushes. I don’t know why but I’m not really drawn to them but when I saw this Wet n Wild blush, I had to have it.

This blush is absolutely gorgeous. I wore this out for my anniversary date and it look so pretty on my fair skin but I think this would be beautiful on any skin tone. The formula is so smooth and silky, that it blends beautifully. It does have shimmer but not enough to feel like you’re Edward from Twilight. I’m loving the new formula. Also, I’m loving seeing all the cute cruelty free bunnies on Wet n Wild products. Wet n Wild is really stepping up their game. I highly recommend this blush and I will be purchasing more from this line.

L’OREAL Infallible Pro-Matte Foundation

Happy Monday!!!  I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend.

I have been seeing so many reviews for the L’OREAL Infallible Pro-Matte Foundation, so of course I had to try it out for myself. 

 Classic Ivory

From the L’OREAL website-

Achieve a matte finish that won’t fall flat with this air-light, longwearing liquid formula. Lightweight and creamy, foundation goes on smooth with a demi-matte finish that lasts up to 24 hours—hiding imperfections for a smooth, clear complexion.

Pros-

• Claims to last 24 hours- I’m not sure if it last that long but it did last for as long as I needed it to last.
• Beautiful matte finish, that left my skin smooth.
• Lightweight formula so I didn’t feel it on my skin.

Cons-

•  I did notice oxidizing on my hand but I didn’t notice it on my face.
• Classic ivory is still a little to dark for my skin tone. I’m very fair skinned. I wish it was a little lighter.

Final Thoughts-

• L’OREAL Infallible Pro-Matte foundation is amazing. I had so many compliments on my complexion, which usually never happens. I’m not going to call this my holy grail just yet but it’s in the running. I do recommend this foundation and I will definitely be repurchasing this in the future.

Cover girl Colorlicious Lip Lava

  
Hey, I hope everyone is having a wonderful Sunday. It’s pretty chilly here but the sun is shining.

In a recent haul I posted, I purchased the Covergirl Colorlicious Lip Lava. When I saw this at Rite Aide I thought it was shiny and pretty. I love anything shiny..lol So, I had to buy it..right?

From the Covergirl website

Bolder than a balm, glassier than a gloss, more lustrous than a lipstick. The hybrid formula of new Colorlicious Lip Lava combines highly pigmented shades with iridescent pearls for saturated lip color with the high shine of lacquer. Now you can get a lip look overflowing with color, shine, shimmer and glimmer with just one product.

Pros-

• It’s lasts a long time on the lips
• The color is gorgeous 
• Very smooth formula, glides on effortlessly 
• Brush applicator makes for easy application 

Cons- 

• A little sticky but I think that’s what makes it stay on your lips for a longer time.
• It’s transferable.. Not the best for kissing, unless the other person wants shimmering lips.
• If you don’t like shimmering, shiny lip this isn’t for you.

Final Thoughts-

I absolutely love this lipgloss. It’s true to its claims. For only $7.99, you really can’t go wrong with this lipgloss. I will definitely be looking for other colors in this line.
