Review- Wet n Wild Mega Cushion Contour

Hey everyone,

I love Wet n Wild. They are great quality and very affordable. Recently they came out with a bunch of new products. I purchased some of the new products to test out and review.

One of the products that I was excited to try was the Mega Cushion Contour. This product is so different then the other contouring products on the market. While most contouring products are either a cream or powder, this contour is liquid.

Since this is a liquid contour you have to be fast when applying it because it sets fast and makes it difficult to blend.

As you can see in the second picture, I waited to long to blend it out and it turned out blotchy. If you blend it out right away it gives you one of the most natural contours I have ever seen.

I have only seen one shade of the contour but it’s buildable. I have very fair skin and it looks very natural on me. I use a brush with the contour. I’m not a big fan of the applicator that come with the contour.

I found the Mega Cushion Contour at Walgreens for $5.99. The price and quality makes this an amazing product.

I highly recommend trying this product out for yourself and letting me know what you think.

Thank you for taking the time to read my post.

  1. Is it completely liquid or more like a mousse? I like the idea, but I’d rather find a product that doesn’t set so fast + has a more ashy colour, I feel like most warm colours look good as bronzers but don’t work well as contour products :/

    • It’s completely liquid. I agree with you, ashy shades are better for contouring but for some reason this contour works well. I have very fair skin, so I use this very lightly and it works: but I don’t like that it sets so fast.

      • I’m pale white, especially now that it’s winter, so I have loads of trouble finding good contour products in general – everything is waaaay too dark. Currently I’m experimenting with matte, poorly pigmented eyeshadows, the idea seems good, but I haven’t found a good shade yet 😀
How do you even apply a liquid contour? I can’t even think of any way that wouldn’t be extremely complicated or inconvenient.

      • I know the struggle all to well with trying to find contour shades that work. You’re supposed to apply this contour the same way you would apply cushion foundation. It comes with a little cushion pad but I like to apply it with a brush. That way I can apply and blend at the same time. I find that with the cushion pad, it puts way to much product on your face. It’s very easy to apply.
